Image Compressor
Make JPG, PNG and WebP images smaller without visible loss.
About the Image Compressor
The Image Compressor reduces the file size of your photos so they upload faster, fit email limits and load quicker on websites. Compression happens on your own device.
How to use it
- Choose or drop one or more images (JPG, PNG or WebP).
- Pick the output format and move the quality slider. 75–85% is a good balance.
- Check the new file sizes in the list.
- Download each image or all of them.
Example
A 4.2 MB phone photo usually drops below 1 MB at 80% quality with no difference you can see on screen.
Questions people ask
Why did my PNG get bigger?
PNG is a lossless format, so screenshots and graphics may not shrink much. Convert photos to JPG or WebP for much smaller files.
Is my image quality reduced?
Lossy formats (JPG, WebP) remove detail you rarely notice. At 80% quality most photos look the same on screen. Keep your original if you need to print.
